Questions people ask
Where does the forecast come from?
From MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, whose forecasts cover the whole world and are free to use. Sureno asks for your town's forecast at most every half hour and shows it in plain words.
How are sunrise and sunset worked out?
They are calculated for your town's exact position with the same astronomical formulas the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration publishes. Hills and buildings around you can make the Sun appear a few minutes later or disappear a few minutes earlier.
Does Sureno know where I am?
Only if you ask it to use your location, and then only to look up the forecast. Your town is remembered in your own browser, not on Sureno's servers, and you can change it at any time.
Why do the days get longer and shorter?
Because Earth's axis is tilted. As Earth goes round the Sun, your half of the world leans towards it in summer, giving long days, and away from it in winter, giving short ones.
