Questions people ask
Why only this sea?
A worldwide ship feed is a paid product. Finland publishes the positions from its own receivers for anyone to use. The map opens there, and you can still zoom out to see the shape of the world around it.
What does the speed mean?
It is the speed the ship itself reports, in knots. One knot is one nautical mile an hour, a little faster than one ordinary mile an hour. A ship under half a knot is treated as stopped.
