How to use it

Questions and answers

How is words per minute worked out?

Every five correct characters count as one word, which is the usual typing-test measure. Accuracy is the share of characters you typed that match the passage.

Can I paste the passage?

No. Pasting is ignored, so the result is from typing.

What is a good typing speed?

Around 40 words a minute is typical; 60 or more is fast. Accuracy matters as much as speed.
