Questions and answers

Where is my price per kWh?

On your electricity bill, often called the energy rate or unit rate. Delivery charges may be extra.

How many watts does my device use?

Look for a label on the back or the plug, such as "1500 W". A plug-in power meter gives the real figure.

What is a kilowatt-hour?

Using 1,000 watts for one hour. A 100-watt TV on for 10 hours uses 1 kWh.
