Questions and answers
Is a drawn or typed signature legally valid?
In many countries an electronic signature can be valid, but the rules depend on the place and the document. For anything important, ask whoever asked you to sign.
How do I put it on a PDF?
Most PDF programs can add a picture: Adobe Acrobat Reader ("Fill & Sign"), Preview on a Mac (Markup) and Microsoft Word (Insert, Picture) all work with this PNG.
Is my signature saved anywhere?
No. It is drawn on this page in your browser and disappears when you close it. Keep the downloaded file somewhere private.
Why does the picture have no white background?
It is a PNG with a clear background, so it does not cover lines or text on your document. Most programs show the clear parts as white.
