    Questions and answers

    Are my pictures uploaded?

No. The words are read by a program that runs inside your browser, so your photos and the text stay on your device.

    Why are some words wrong?

Blurry, dark or tilted photos are harder to read. Use good light, hold the phone straight above the page and fill the picture with the words.

Which languages and writing does it read?

It reads printed English best. Neat capitals can work; joined-up handwriting usually comes out wrong.

Can it read a scanned PDF?

Turn the PDF pages into pictures first with PDF to JPG, then drop those pictures here.

Why is the first time slower?

The first time, your browser downloads the reading program and the English word model (about 6 MB). After that it is kept, so it starts faster.
