Save a photo someone sent you in Messages

The pictures are drawings of the screens, not screenshots. Your screen may look a little different.

   Step 1: Open the conversation

   Open Messages and tap the conversation with the photo.

   Step 2: Tap the Save button next to the photo

   Next to the photo (or a stack of photos) there is a Save Photo button: a small arrow pointing down. Tap it.

   Step 3: Or use Share, then Save

   You can also tap the photo, tap the Share button (a square with an arrow), then choose Save.

Good to know: Saved photos appear in the Photos app with your other pictures.
