Care through the year
Spring
Ask your vet about flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Many dogs start shedding their winter coat.
Summer
Never leave a pet in a parked car. Walk in the cool of the day; hot pavement burns paws.
Autumn
Keep Halloween candy and chocolate out of reach.
Winter
Wipe paws after walks to remove salt and antifreeze. Short-coated and small dogs may need a coat.

The Beagle is a British breed of scent hound, similar in appearance to the much larger foxhound. It was bred primarily for hunting rabbit or hare, known as beagling.
