The short version

Primavera Sound is a music festival held in Barcelona; its 2027 edition marks 25 years and is scheduled for 2–6 June at Parc del Fòrum. ¹⁴
The main festival days are 3–5 June, with 151 announced acts including Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack and Turnstile. ¹
The programme spans rock, pop, dance and hip-hop, rather than one single style. ³
Tickets are listed from €295 plus booking fees for a full-festival pass, but prices and availability may change. ¹

What is Primavera Sound?

Primavera Sound is a music festival in Barcelona. Its main venue is Parc del Fòrum, a site by the sea. The event began in 2001 as a one-day festival at Poble Espanyol, according to Festival Insights. ³⁴

Over time, its programme broadened beyond the indie music that first helped define it. The 2027 acts range across rock, pop, electronic dance music and hip-hop. ³ In plain terms, it is a large multi-genre festival, not an event devoted to one kind of music.

Why is Primavera Sound in the news now?

Organisers have announced the programme for the festival’s 25th edition in 2027. The headline names include Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack and Turnstile. Other announced acts include Hayley Williams, FKA twigs, The Chemical Brothers, Robyn, Bad Gyal and Pavement. ¹²

The announcement includes 151 acts across the main festival days. That number refers to the announced programme, not necessarily every performer who may appear in the wider event. ¹⁴

When and where does the 2027 festival happen?

The main festival is scheduled for 3–5 June 2027 at Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona. The wider programme starts with a free opening day on 2 June and ends with Primavera Bits, an electronic music event, on 6 June. ¹

Primavera Bits is listed with Richie Hawtin, Four Tet and Dixon, who are set to perform in an eight-hour programme of alternating sets. ¹ These dates are plans announced in advance, so readers should check the festival’s official information before arranging travel.

What does the lineup mean for an ordinary music fan?

The broad range of acts may suit someone who wants to move between musical styles, while a fan of one performer may be more interested in a particular day. The sources identify the three main festival dates but do not give a complete day-by-day timetable, so it is too early to know exactly when each artist will perform. ¹²

The scale also means the announcement is best treated as a starting point for planning, not a finished schedule. Check the festival’s own updates for set times, stage details and any changes.

How much are tickets, and when do they go on sale?

The Line of Best Fit reports full-festival general tickets at €295 plus booking fees and VIP tickets at €545 plus fees. It says general sale is due to open on 9 October at 11:00 CEST, with a listed general ticket price of €350. ¹

The same report says people who register for the Fan Sale by 7 October at 23:59 CEST will receive access instructions on 8 October. The Fan Sale is scheduled to run for 24 hours from 11:00 CEST on 9 October, or until tickets sell out. ¹ Prices and availability can change; confirm the current terms with the ticket seller before buying.
