GPA calculator

Add letter grades and credits. Empty rows are ignored. This uses the common 4.0 scale.

A is 4.0, A− is 3.7, B+ is 3.3, and so on down to F at 0. Some schools use a different scale.

  1. For each course, choose the letter grade.
  2. Type the credits for that course.
  3. Leave unused rows on the dash.
  4. Read your GPA on the 4.0 scale.

Questions and answers

Does this include older terms?

Only the courses you type in. Add earlier courses too if you want a cumulative GPA.

What is a good GPA?

On a 4.0 scale, 3.0 is a B average and 3.5 or higher is often counted as very good. Schools set their own standards.

Is this my official GPA?

No. Your school may weight courses differently. Check its rules.
