Josh Jacobs’ attorneys respond as NFL reviews new allegations

Attorneys describe investigation

Jacobs’ attorneys said the Brown County District Attorney’s office and police conducted an extensive investigation. They said prosecutors determined that two misdemeanor charges were warranted and reached a plea agreement with Jacobs.

The lawyers described the other allegations as old, uncorroborated and previously unreported. They said Jacobs has repeatedly shown remorse and is complying with the agreement.

Other allegations disclosed

Documents released recently say three women contacted police after Jacobs’ May 2026 arrest. They alleged separate domestic incidents in 2021 and 2022. None of those allegations resulted in charges. Jacobs entered a plea agreement over the May incident, according to the report.

NFL review remains open

The league said it would review the newer allegations as part of that investigation. Its statement did not describe a timeline for the review.
