Amazon’s New Fire TV Stick 4K Is Already Half Off at $29.99
A new low price
Amazon and Best Buy are offering the latest Fire TV Stick 4K for $29.99, half its regular price. The discount comes only weeks after the device was announced and sets a new all-time low.
Power and picture features
The newest model can get its power from a television’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power connection. It supports 4K resolution at up to 60fps and HDR10 Plus for higher contrast. Unlike some older models, the new stick does not support sideloading apps.
Remote and connectivity updates
The remote has been redesigned with an asymmetrical shape, a rounded bottom and buttons intended to feel more tactile. The Fire TV Stick 4K also supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6.
Amazon updated Fire TV OS earlier this year with a redesigned interface, closer Alexa Plus integration and improvements to its mobile app. The article says those changes are supported on the new hardware.
