At Alabama Game, NASA to Conduct NCAA Flyover and Engage Fans at University of Alabama

Flyover at the Alabama game

The flyover is scheduled for the University of Alabama versus Texas A&M game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Saturday, Oct. 24. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman will fly one of three F-5 fighter jets.

NASA says the flight will highlight its aeronautics contributions and ongoing work to advance aviation technologies. The event is part of the agency’s Inspiration Tour, which connects NASA with people and organizations across the country.

Public NASA Experience Zone

The NASA Experience Zone will be open on Champions Lane from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CDT. Visitors do not need a game ticket to enter, and NASA team members will be available to talk about the agency’s work.

Exhibits will feature the Artemis campaign and NASA’s efforts to return astronauts to the Moon. The zone is supported by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Media access and tour finale

Isaacman is scheduled to take part in a media opportunity at the Experience Zone at 11 a.m. CDT. Reporters planning to attend must confirm by noon Friday, Oct. 23, with Lance D. Davis at lance.d.davis@nasa.gov to receive instructions.

The Inspiration Tour is set to culminate with MAX POWER, a public exposition of American air and space innovation. The event will run Nov. 7 and 8 on and near Kennedy Space Center in Florida, showcasing aircraft, spacecraft, autonomous vehicles and other technologies.
