Sony’s WH-1000XM6 over-ear headphones are selling for $378 during Amazon’s October Prime Day event, down from $459.99, according to Lifehacker. The outlet said price trackers show this is the lowest price so far.
The headphones were released in 2025 and are Sony’s current flagship model. Lifehacker cited improved noise cancellation, additional microphones and sound customization among the features.
The XM6 has 12 microphones, compared with eight on the previous XM5 model. They support active noise cancellation and listening modes that adjust how much outside sound comes through.
Lifehacker’s shopping editor named the XM6 the best over-ear headphones he tested in 2025, praising their audio and noise cancellation.
