Questions and answers

What is lorem ipsum?

Scrambled Latin used since the 1500s so a design can be judged without being distracted by real sentences.

Why use filler text?

It shows how a page will look before the real words are ready, without readers getting distracted by the meaning.

Is it real Latin?

Not quite. It comes from a work by Cicero, but the words have been changed and jumbled.
