Everything in Space: A24 Sends Elizabeth Holmes Documentary to ISS, CNET Reports

A24 approves space screening

A24 announced on Instagram that it had agreed to NASA’s request to show the documentary to astronauts aboard the International Space Station. The studio’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The film, co-directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, focuses on Elizabeth Holmes, the former Theranos CEO. It premiered in domestic theaters nearly three weeks before the announcement.

The film’s theatrical run

The documentary was initially planned for a limited US theatrical release. After three weeks, it reached No. 1 at the box office last weekend, ahead of DC’s Clayface. The article describes growing interest among audiences around the world, while noting that international access is still limited by release schedules.

International dates remain pending

UK moviegoers are scheduled to see the film on Nov. 20, and its France release is set for Dec. 30. Sony Pictures acquired rights to distribute it in countries including Germany, South Korea and Latin America, but dates for those markets have not been announced. The planned ISS screening will give astronauts a chance to watch the film in low Earth orbit.
