Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Are Officially Ready to Party in New Bill and Ted Spin-Off Game

The new game brings back the pair whose friendship began with a school history presentation and a journey through time. In their first film, the teenagers kidnapped historical figures and introduced Napoleon to a water park.

Their story continued through the afterlife and a third movie, with Reeves and Winter playing the endlessly enthusiastic friends. The characters face each new crisis with confidence, despite often misunderstanding what is happening around them.

A new arcade adventure

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure: Arcade is a 16-bit-inspired video game developed by Art of Play Interactive. Reeves and Winter provide voices for the project. Players will be able to experience its time-traveling adventure alone or with a friend in couch co-op. The game is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Funding plans and timing

A crowdfunding campaign for the game is scheduled to begin on BackerKit in February 2027. The game does not yet have a release date. The campaign date offers the next stated milestone for the project, while players will have to wait for further details about when the game will be available.
