Star Trek Franchise Officially Reunites Kirk and Spock in November 13 Card Game Release

A reunion in card form
The reunion is part of Magic: The Gathering’s Universes Beyond crossover with Star Trek, not a television or film release. The wider crossover launches November 13, 2026, as the franchise marks its 60th anniversary.
The Landing Party deck brings Kirk, Spock and other familiar members of the original USS Enterprise crew together. Players can select Spock as commander or choose Captain Kirk, Boldly Going, making it possible to include both characters in the same deck.
How the deck plays
Kirk’s abilities focus on the Starship Enterprise, giving players another way to lead the deck. The set also includes cards for Uhura, Sulu, Montgomery Scott, Pavel Chekov and Dr. McCoy, as well as Christopher Pike and Christine Chapel.
Four decks in the crossover
Landing Party is one of four Commander decks in the release. Federation Fleet is led by Jean-Luc Picard, Klingon Fury features Worf as commander, and We Are the Borg puts players in control of the Borg Queen.
Each deck has 100 cards, including 32 new-to-Magic cards and familiar reprints. Collector’s Edition versions with surge foil treatments will also be available.
