Prince Harry and Meghan Markle move into new home on wealthy pal’s estate: report

A move within the estate
The Daily Mail reported that Harry and Markle had been staying at the Cotswolds home of a wealthy businessman since relocating to the UK in August with their two children. An insider told the outlet the family had lived in the main house before moving to another property on the estate.
The businessman and Harry reportedly became friends through their shared support for military charities. The report said the friend was happy for the couple and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to remain on his land. It gave their ages as 7 and 5, respectively.
Earlier plans near Highgrove
In August, royal commentator Tom Sykes told Page Six that Harry and Markle were house hunting for a home near King Charles III. Sykes said a friend of Harry’s had told him the search could focus on the Cotswolds near Highgrove, the residence of Charles and Queen Camilla.
The couple are also retaining their $14.5 million home in Montecito, California, according to a source who spoke to Page Six in September. An insider said people were still looking after the property and that no one was moving in.
A previous stay with a friend
The report recalled that Harry and Markle also stayed at a friend’s home after leaving their senior royal roles and moving to the United States in 2020. Page Six reported that they lived at media mogul Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills villa before buying their Montecito estate. The couple moved into their Montecito home in August 2020, according to the account.
Family allegations and travel
The report also described a difficult period for the couple amid allegations involving Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., who remains under investigation for child pornography allegations. Harry and Markle reportedly left the UK with their children the previous week, but their destination was not clear.
A friend told Hello! Magazine that Markle was very upset and worried about the children and alleged victims. In a statement to Page Six, Markle said she was deeply distressed and said her decision to keep her father away from her children was intended to protect them. She said she had been informed about the allegations in 2018.
