Trump takes a bizarre jab at Talarico with his “I love the meat” rant

Forecasts point to Democratic gains

Fox News’ latest Power Rankings predict Democrats will take control of the House. The network describes the Senate contest as a toss-up, projecting 48 seats for Democrats and 47 for Republicans, with five still undecided.

An Ipsos analysis found that 53 percent of voters lean toward the Democratic candidate, compared with 44 percent who favor the Republican. Republicans could lose their congressional majorities on November 3, according to the outlook described in the report.

Trump and Vance campaign

Trump is scheduled to visit Ohio, where Republican Jon Husted faces former Democratic senator Sherrod Brown in the Senate race. Republican Vivek Ramaswamy is competing against Democrat Amy Action for governor.

Vance is set to campaign in North Carolina for Republican Michael Whatley, who is running against Democrat Roy Cooper. The candidates are seeking to replace retiring Senator Thom Tillis, a frequent Trump critic; Whatley has trailed Cooper in polls.

Meat remark draws attention

Trump’s midterm rallies have featured gaffes and unusual remarks. At one rally, he mocked James Talarico by claiming the Democrat is vegan and declaring, “I love the meat!” Republicans have also spent about $183 million on television ads focused on transgender-related attacks against Democrats ahead of the midterms.
