Firefox, Chrome patch 200 security flaws combined: update both ASAP, ZDNET reports

Firefox fixes 167 vulnerabilities
To install the Firefox update, open the browser’s menu, go to Help and Report, and select About Firefox. Restart the browser to complete the process.
Chrome patches 52 flaws
Chrome’s update covers versions 56.0.8078.73/.74 for Windows and Mac, and 156.0.8078.73 for Linux. It fixes 52 security bugs, including four rated critical and 46 rated high. The four critical flaws involve memory corruption. Some of the reported issues also concern Chrome’s Sandbox; exploiting them could allow an attacker to bypass its protections and run malicious code. Other bugs involve use-after-free vulnerabilities.
To update Chrome, open the three-dot menu, choose Help, then About Google Chrome. If prompted, let the update download and restart the browser.
