Vision and Ultron return

Paul Bettany plays Vision, an android built by S.W.O.R.D. with the memories of his former Avenger prototype but none of that figure’s feelings. After the events of WandaVision, he is also called White Vision. Bettany’s other screen credits include A Knight’s Tale, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, and the miniseries Amadeus.

James Spader voices Ultron, the artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner that sought world domination and humanity’s end. Spader’s television work includes The Blacklist, Boston Legal and The Practice, while his films include Pretty in Pink, Crash and Secretary.

Wanda’s sons and allies

Tommy Maximoff, also known as Speed, is one of the twins Wanda created in the hex and has super speed like his uncle. At the end of Agatha All Along, Billy used magic to place Tommy’s consciousness in the dying Thomas Shepherd.

Ruaridh Mollica plays Tommy. His earlier screen work includes Sunshine on Leith, The Jetty, Ridley, The Franchise and Witness No 3. In 2025, he also appeared in the West End play Clarkston with Joe Locke, who plays Billy in the MCU.

Paladin, a bounty hunter looking for Vision, draws on a Marvel comics character. Todd Stashwick, known for 12 Monkeys and Star Trek: Picard, plays the role.

New androids and AI voices

T’Nia Miller plays Jocasta, a new android based on a Marvel comics character. Miller’s credits include The Haunting of Bly Manor, The Fall of the House of Usher, Gangs of London and Sex Education.

Orla Brady plays F.R.I.D.A.Y., an AI in Vision’s mind palace focused on social interaction, humor and tactical operations. Brady’s work includes Star Trek: Picard, Bosch: Legacy, Fringe and The Foreigner.

Henry Lewis voices D.U.M.-E, a maintenance AI responsible for limb servo control and fire suppression. Jonathan Sayer voices U, whose maintenance duties include defragmenting and video analysis; both are British playwrights and comedians who co-founded Mischief Theatre.

Other characters in the cast

Lisa is Thomas’s friend and partner in crime from juvenile detention, and is based on a Marvel comics character. Welsh actor Lauren Morais has appeared in Mudtown, The Crow Girl and The Red Queen.

E.D.I.T.H. is another AI in Vision’s mind palace, with responsibilities spanning recreation, game theory and weapons. The character is described as the fun one.
