Norway plans temporary ban on smart glasses in some public places

Norway’s government wants parliament to approve a temporary ban on AI-equipped smart glasses in some public places, according to CBC.

The devices can take photos, record conversations and stream video, potentially without people nearby realizing they are being recorded.

Places that could be covered include concerts and sporting events, as well as parks, beaches, museums and shopping centers.

The government is also considering exceptions for vulnerable groups, allowing some uses it considers socially beneficial.
