How to play Sudoku

1. Every row, every column and every 3×3 box must hold the numbers 1 to 9, each once.
2. Tap a square, then tap a number below the grid (or type it).
3. Turn on Notes to pencil in small candidate numbers.
4. Check shows any number that does not match the solution. Hint fills in one square for you.
5. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess.

Good to know

• Look for a box, row or column that is nearly full.
• Tap a number that is already on the grid to see every place it appears.
• Keyboard: arrows move, 1–9 fill, Backspace clears, N switches notes.
• No sign-up. Your progress and streaks stay on this device.
