Update your iPhone

The pictures are drawings of the screens, not screenshots. Your screen may look a little different.

   Step 1: Settings, General, Software Update

   Open Settings, tap General, then Software Update. It shows your version and whether an update is ready.

   Step 2: Tap Download and Install

   If an update is available, tap Download and Install and follow the steps on screen. Connect to Wi-Fi and a charger first.

   Step 3: Let it update on its own

   Tap Automatic Updates and turn on Automatically Install. The iPhone then updates overnight while charging on Wi-Fi, and tells you first.

Good to know: Apple suggests backing up before you update.
