Taylor Sheridan’s Landman Is Officially Changing Its Winning Formula for Season 3

A November tradition ends
Landman’s first two seasons arrived in November, giving viewers reason to expect the schedule to continue. Season 1 debuted on November 17, 2024, and the second season premiered on November 16, 2025.
Season 3 will not arrive in November 2026. Production began in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 1, and the timing ruled out another premiere that month.
Power shifts at M-Tex Oil
The drama follows the people around M-Tex Oil in West Texas. Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, works on the ground as the company’s executive, while Monty Miller leads the business and his wife, Cami, is part of its circle. Tommy’s son Cooper is an aspiring entrepreneur.
At the end of Season 1, Monty is gravely ill and close to death. Tommy takes over as M-Tex president, while facing threats from a Mexican drug cartel.
Season two widens the stakes
In the second season, Cami takes control of M-Tex after her husband’s death. Tommy, who survived an encounter with cartel boss Gallino, balances mounting pressures at work and at home, where his father, T.L., is now present.
Cooper’s oil prospects improve, and his relationship with Ariana moves toward marriage. The show’s cast also includes Demi Moore as Cami Miller, Ali Larter as Angela Norris and Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris.
