Netflix’s Greatest Video Game Adaptation Dropped Another 10-Episode Masterpiece in Night City

A New Story in Night City
Set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 comes from CD Projekt RED and Studio Trigger. The series returns to Night City, described as a place marked by extreme violence and the world’s highest poverty rate, yet still a destination people hope to reach.
The first season followed David Martinez, voiced by Matthew Aguilar, and his crew as he sought to become a legend. The new season takes an anthology approach, telling a separate story rather than directly continuing that arc.
A Different Crew Comes Together
The new characters include Weak Kingsley, a worn-out edgerunner voiced by Clancy Brown, and D, a netrunner pursuing vengeance, voiced by Nazeeh Tarsha. Roman Carax, an aspiring filmmaker and devoted cinephile, is voiced by Valerie Rodriguez.
The group also includes Talia Yang, a young teen fascinated by cyberware, voiced by Kimoy Lee. Their individual journeys eventually meet in a story described as poignant and bittersweet.
The First Crew’s Story Is Over
David’s story, along with Lucy Kushinada’s and their crew’s, has concluded. Lucy was voiced by Emi Lo. Instead of revisiting those characters, the new season shifts attention to people carving out their own paths in Night City.
The setting’s promise remains central: opportunity seems close, but stays beyond reach. That tension shapes the characters’ choices in a city where survival is difficult.
