A Boston Blue Visit Reunites the Reagan Brothers: Estes on Working With Donnie Wahlberg Again as Fathers
Jamie Visits Boston
Jamie, now an NYPD lieutenant and father to Joey Francis, travels to Boston for a police conference. Eddie stays behind but sends her regards. The trip becomes a family visit with an edge: Jamie has been carrying feelings about Danny leaving New York soon after Jamie and Eddie welcomed their son.
A Case Brings Tensions Forward
The brothers join forces to investigate a diamond heist and a violent family feud. Their work together brings their own unresolved conflict into the open.
Estes Returns to Jamie
Estes said the invitation came from Wahlberg and the Brandons, and that he agreed after hearing what the story would explore. He described Jamie as the same character, while noting that becoming a father had shifted his priorities.
Estes said the tension felt right for Jamie and praised the writing by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier. The episode ends with Danny telling Jamie he is proud of him as a brother, police officer and father.
