Seven years of updates promised as Motorola Signature 27 goes official with true flagship specs at $1,599 price

Display and flagship features
The Signature 27 has a 6.8-inch Tandem OLED display with a 2772×1272 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 12,000 nits. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. Motorola says the panel is 34% more energy efficient and has a 121% longer lifespan than traditional OLED screens.
Motorola also lists GrapheneOS compatibility and an ArcticMesh vapor chamber cooling system with diamond-infused thermal gel. Its speakers are tuned by Bang & Olufsen. The phone runs Android 17 and is promised seven years of OS upgrades and security updates, with no stated delivery schedule.
Cameras and smart features
The rear camera system includes a 50MP main camera with a Sony Lytia L910 sensor and LOFIC, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 122-degree field of view, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto offers 3x optical-quality zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom. A 50MP front camera completes the lineup.
A dedicated EVS action sensor is designed to sharpen fast-moving subjects in Action Shot mode. Motorola says the Signature 27 is its first phone outside the Pixel line to fully embrace Gemini Intelligence, supporting Gboard Rambler, Create My Widget, app automation and Sign-To-Text ASL translation.
Battery, price and availability
The 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 90W wired charging. Wireless charging reaches 50W with Motorola’s charger; the company’s communication indicates a maximum of 15W with other devices. The phone does not appear to support Qi2, despite Motorola offering the technology elsewhere in its lineup.
US sales begin November 19 at $1,599, with pre-orders open now through Motorola.com. The only US version has 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage, in Coal Smoke or Capulet Olive. Motorola says US units are universally unlocked; there is no word on carrier launches, and the company says the phone will not be available in Canada at this time. For a limited time, US customers who pre-order from Motorola.com receive a Moto Watch Ultra with Wear OS and one year of the motocare extended warranty at no extra charge.
