Chris Pratt Returns in Savage Son as Prime Video Confirms The Terminal List Franchise’s Future

Savage Son in development
Pratt will again play Reece, the former Navy SEAL, in Prime Video’s planned adaptation of Savage Son. The project draws inspiration from the third book in Jack Carr’s series.
The platform has not said whether the story will become season three of The Terminal List or a standalone series within the franchise, similar to the prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. It also has not explained how closely the adaptation will follow the novel.
Reece faces new threats
In Carr’s 2020 novel, Reece attempts to rebuild his life after brain surgery. He returns to the Montana wilderness, with support from journalist Katie Buranekt and friend Raife Hastings, but threats from his past disrupt his efforts to recover.
The story also features a former CIA officer working with the Russian Mafia. Reece becomes caught in an international conflict involving compromised government officials and criminal groups, while the novel follows his personal struggles and relationships.
Franchise continues after season two
Deadline reported that Peter Friedlander, Amazon MGM Studios’ head of global television, voiced enthusiasm for continuing the franchise. He praised Carr, Pratt and the creative team, and described Savage Son as an intense installment. No release date has been announced.
