macOS 27.3 Golden Gate beta 1 now available, here’s what to expect - 9to5Mac
First developer beta arrives
Apple has started the next macOS beta cycle with developer beta 1 of macOS 27.3 Golden Gate. It follows the release of macOS 27.2 last week. The build number for this beta is 26C5035r. The report says further details will follow as the system is examined.
Possible Siri language additions
These possible additions have not been confirmed as features of the beta. macOS 27.2 added expanded language support and new conversation recall capabilities.
Apple Intelligence in China
Apple is preparing to launch Apple Intelligence in China with iOS 27.3. The company has confirmed that its initial release there will be limited to iPhone. Support for other platforms is expected only after the required regulatory approvals are secured.
Touchscreen interface refinements
macOS 27.3 may also include behind-the-scenes interface changes intended to accommodate touchscreen input. These could build on gesture recognition tools introduced in macOS 27.2. Apple recently announced M6-powered iMacs and a 14-inch MacBook Pro. The report also refers to a MacBook Pro with a PROLED XDR Display “with Touch.”
