Living in a backyard tent, Jenny McCarthy defends keeping toxic breast implants amid mold sickness nightmare

McCarthy explains her decision
McCarthy-Wahlberg discussed her implants on Tuesday’s podcast episode, where she interviewed her plastic surgeon, Dr. Terry Dubrow. She said people make fun of her for having implants despite her aversion to toxins.
She said her breasts had been reduced substantially from their previous size, but she was not ready to go without implants. McCarthy added that she might want to do so when she is older.
Surgeon and implant details
McCarthy said Dubrow had performed multiple procedures on her over a long period, including a reduction in the early 2000s. She also confirmed he was the surgeon behind her implants.
McCarthy has Motiva breast implants, described as a softer type of silicone implant that permits more natural movement. They received FDA approval in 2024, and Dubrow said he did not believe they caused her mold poisoning.
Mold diagnosis and tent living
McCarthy was diagnosed with Mycotoxin poisoning in December 2025. The condition occurs when a person inhales, ingests or absorbs toxic chemicals produced by mold, and she is now undergoing mold detox.
In an Oct. 29 podcast episode, McCarthy said she was living in a tent in her backyard because she felt too paranoid to sleep elsewhere. She said the experience had left her feeling at times as though the walls were caving in, and described herself as still in the traumatic stage of the illness.
