Fans can forget Slow Horses: the next best British thriller officially arrives this month
Slow Horses keeps its following
Apple TV’s Slow Horses is set in London and follows Slough House, a neglected MI5 unit for disgraced or unsuccessful agents. Gary Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, the abrasive officer overseeing them.
The black comedy debuted on April 1, 2022, and recently aired its sixth season, from September 16 to October 21, 2026. The series has a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score and has been renewed for Seasons 7 and 8. Neither new season is expected to premiere soon.
Secret Service heads to MGM+
Secret Service is based on Tom Bradby’s novel of the same name. After premiering at the Italian Global Series Festival, it aired in the U.K. on ITV1 earlier in April; its first episode attracted 3.9 million viewers.
The series will make its U.S. debut on MGM+ on November 22, 2026, at 10/9c. The premiere is also scheduled for audiences in Canada, Latin America and Italy, according to TV Insider.
Arterton leads the cast
Directed by James Marsh and Farren Blackburn, the show centers on Gemma Arterton as Kate Henderson. A released trailer previews the high-stakes story.
