Jack Lowden Opens Up About Saoirse Ronan and Raising Their First Child

A Private Life Together

They share a production company with producer Dominic Norris. Their film The Outrun stars Ronan. Lowden said his life had not changed, though people had become more interested in it.

Praise for Ronan’s Acting

Lowden called Ronan a fearless force on screen and off, and described her as a brilliant leader. He said his role was to help a strong actor shine, comparing her to a Ferrari in an analogy he acknowledged was dreadful. In a separate comment, Ronan said her life had grown beyond work after years of focusing on it as a way to meet people and understand the world.

Plans to Work Together

Lowden said they intended to collaborate again, while noting that Ronan also has ambitions to direct. Ronan said she would like to direct with him because it would help her feel more at ease. She said the two met through work and have produced projects together, making their professional and personal lives closely connected.
