PlayStation Officially Drops 4 New Free Downloads You Don't Need PS Plus For

Four demos for November

The PlayStation Store is offering demos for PS5 owners interested in trying games before buying them. The four options are Final Fantasy Resonance, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Gladio Mori and Rideshare “Stimulator.” All four can be downloaded and played without paying, and none requires a PS Plus membership. The demos may appeal to players looking for games to try while holiday budgets are tight.

Two major franchise entries

Final Fantasy Resonance is described as the biggest draw among the demos. Its first chapter is playable, and progress made there can transfer to the full game. The game features classic Final Fantasy combat and adventuring, with familiar characters appearing as Visions who assist in battles.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse offers a preview of the series’ return. Players control Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont from Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse. Data from the demo can also transfer to the full game.

Two different experiences

Gladio Mori is a physics-based combat simulator. Its full game lets players assemble movesets and share them with the community, while the demo provides four curated movesets to try.

Rideshare “Stimulator” asks players to run a rideshare business and do some driving themselves. The article says both games have received positive feedback on Steam, though it describes them as having less star power than the other two demos.

Key points

  • Four PlayStation Store demos are free this November and do not require PS Plus.
  • Final Fantasy Resonance’s demo covers the first chapter, with progress transferable to the full game.
  • Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse lets players control Rose Belmont, and demo data can transfer.
  • Gladio Mori and Rideshare “Stimulator” round out the four-demo lineup.
