Japan Officially Decided: 10 Anime Viewers Are Loving This Fall 2026

How Niconico Ranked Shows

The ranking draws on data from Japanese website Niconico. It combines views, comments and access numbers to identify the season’s most enjoyed anime so far. The report describes the titles as popular choices for October 2026, with a mix of returning series and new properties. It does not provide individual scores or a complete numbered order for all 10 shows.

Survival And Second Chances

Studio SynerSP’s Magical Girl Raising Project sequel appears at the bottom of the ranking described. In N-City, the number of magical girls has grown too high, prompting a plan to eliminate exactly half. Pechka, one of 16 participants, has magic suited to making food and initially believes the contest is only training.

Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden follows a celebrated hero reborn in the body of a frail child. Haunted by a desire from her past life to find a worthy opponent, Nia sets out to strengthen herself, with chaos following her efforts. Konami Animation produced the series.

Comedy Finds An Audience

Super Psychic Policeman Chojo brings together rookie officer Nao Ippongi and senior officer Meguru Chojo, whose powerful psychic abilities do little to help him perform his job. Arvo Animation and Crunchyroll adapted the manga, which ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

Girls Und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! is a film series based on Maruko Nii’s manga, produced by P.A Works and Actas. It focuses on the everyday lives and relationships of Oorai Girls’ team members, whose shared devotion to tank warfare sits alongside friendship, rivalry and humor.

Mystery And Magical Worlds

In director Katsumi Ono’s Psyren, Ageha Yoshina finds a mysterious phone card and discovers that his classmate Sakurako Amamiya has the same one. After she disappears and asks him to save her, Ageha calls the number on the card and is drawn into a deadly survival game.

Magic Knight Rayearth, directed by Yui Miura, follows Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki and Fuu Hououji after they are transported from a school trip to Tokyo Tower to the land of Cephiro. The trio must save the magical realm, though Hikaru embraces the challenge while Umi and Fuu want to go home. The report says the title rounds out the top spots.
