Disney’s Percy Jackson Season 3 Officially Reveals the Secret Behind Its Most Important Duo

A long-awaited sibling pair

Nico and Bianca di Angelo are among the characters readers have been waiting to see on screen. Their arrival is a major draw for an adaptation of The Titan’s Curse, but their relationship needs to feel credible for the story’s larger moments to work.

Preparing to play Bianca

Since joining the series, Abercrombie has read the original Percy Jackson books and The Heroes of Olympus, as well as part of The Trials of Apollo. She told Collider’s Hannah Hunt that one particular relationship helped shape her performance.

Working with Chrisopulos was part of bringing the siblings to life. Their coach, Andrew McElroy, gave the actors exercises intended to help them get to know one another and establish the characters’ dynamic.

An unusual acting exercise

Abercrombie described one rehearsal in which the actors pressed their foreheads together, stared at each other and delivered their dialogue. She said the coach used awkward activities to help them become more comfortable with one another.
