After A Court of Splintered Harmony, When Is the Next Court of Thorns and Roses Coming?

The next book arrives soon
A Court of Forgotten Melody is the seventh installment in Maas’ series and directly follows A Court of Splintered Harmony. Maas developed the two novels as a single tale, then divided it because the story was too large for one book.
The seventh book was complete before the sixth was released, allowing the two launch dates to be announced together. A Court of Forgotten Melody is due out January 12, 2027, three months after its predecessor.
A larger story takes shape
Maas has described the current arc as a four-part story called The Valkyrie Cycle. Its four parts, which she calls “movements,” are being told across three books. A Court of Splintered Harmony contains Movement I. The longer A Court of Forgotten Melody will include Movements II and III, while the eighth book is set to contain Movement IV and conclude this part of the saga.
Eighth book has no date
The eighth installment is expected to complete the story now unfolding in the two recent books. However, Maas had not begun writing it when the new titles were announced earlier this year, so there is no release date yet.
The series’ previous book, A Court of Silver Flames, came out in 2021. The article also notes that author Matt Dinniman is writing the final two Dungeon Crawler Carl books as one story split between two novels.
