Netflix’s Period Romance Bridgerton Officially Wraps Season 5 Filming Ahead of 2027

Season five finishes filming
Netflix announced on its TUDUM platform that Bridgerton’s fifth season has wrapped filming. Production began in March, according to the report. The season is expected to arrive in 2027. The series is among Netflix’s most-watched titles, and two of its seasons appear on the streamer’s all-time top 10 list.
A new romance each season
Based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, Bridgerton centers on the close-knit Bridgerton family. Each season follows the love story of a different couple. The first season debuted in 2020 to positive reviews and large viewership. Its cast includes Phoebe Dynevor, Regé-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley and Nicola Coughlan, among other actors who have gone on to successful careers.
The series expands its run
Bridgerton’s second season debuted a year after its first. Its fourth season aired this year in two batches, following the same release approach used for season three in 2024. The franchise also includes Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a six-episode spin-off that debuted in 2026.
