Exclusive: Gayle King admits she tries to draw Real Housewives gossip from close pal Andy Cohen
King asks Cohen about Housewives
King said she has a direct line to Cohen when she has questions about Real Housewives. At the gala, she told Page Six she sometimes texts him to ask what he thinks about a particular person or situation.
She would not identify a favorite Housewife or franchise. King said she watches some of the shows and that Cohen knows she follows them closely.
A demanding work routine
King said she finds it difficult to switch off from work, with more tasks waiting even after the workday ends. She described having homework that evening and said she had already begun it.
She said she loves her work and has found ways to manage its demands. King added that earning a good paycheck is welcome, but not her main concern.
Gala honored Bob Iger
King attended the PAC NYC Icon of Culture Gala with Diane von Furstenberg, Nick Jonas, Robin Roberts and Michael Bloomberg. The event honored former Disney CEO Bob Iger.
The gala recognized Iger’s influence on global culture and his support for Lower Manhattan after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
