Star Trek’s We Are The Borg Officially Releases in November 2026

Release dates and formats

Wizards of the Coast confirmed that the Star Trek Magic: The Gathering tabletop release begins globally on November 13. Pre-release events are scheduled for November 6-12. We Are The Borg is one of four Commander decks. Buyers can choose a standard version or a Collector’s Edition.

What comes in each deck

The standard Commander deck contains 100 cards and a traditional foil face commander with borderless art. It is ready to play. The Collector’s Edition also includes a ready-to-play 100-card deck, with a surge foil face commander in borderless art. It adds 10 double-sided tokens, foil on one side and non-foil on the other.

Borg cards and gameplay

The white-blue-black deck centers on the Borg Queen. Its cards also include Locutus of Borg, Korok, Seven of Nine, Vox, Hugh and One (Borg Evolved). The deck’s cards and tokens reflect Borg assimilation. Players can take creatures from opponents’ graveyards and turn them into Borg, with 10 Borg tokens included. Deliver From Chaos exiles a target artifact or creature, then creates colorless Borg artifact creature tokens equal to that permanent’s mana value.

Three other Commander decks

The other themes are Federation Fleet in blue-red-white, Landing Party in green-white-blue, and Klingon Fury in red-white-black. Federation Fleet features Jean-Luc Picard and Captain Janeway, whose abilities provide card draw.

Commander Spock leads Landing Party and can cast a revealed card without paying its cost if its mana value is no greater than the number of differently named lands controlled. The deck has at least 23 unique lands, along with islands, plains and mountains. Worf leads Klingon Fury and can create hasty 2/1 red Klingon Warrior tokens.
