Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook Pro gets reveal video: watch the display in action

Apple shows touchscreen MacBook
At its “Pro and tell” event on Wednesday, Apple announced its first MacBook with a touchscreen. A video shown during the event offers a look at the new MacBook Pro display in action.
The touchscreen has been long anticipated. Touchscreens have been common on Windows laptops for well over a decade, while the MacBook’s arrival was rumored for years.
Display and design details
The MacBook Pro’s PROLED XDR touch display uses a tandem OLED panel. It offers up to 2,000 nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate, with a hole-punch webcam rather than a notch.
Orders, prices and other launches
Pre-orders for the touchscreen MacBook Pro open today, and the laptop will be available November 6th. The 14-inch model starts at $2,899, while the 16-inch model starts at $3,399.
The MacBook Pro is among the first devices Apple launched under Ternus, who previously led the company’s hardware engineering. Earlier this week, Apple also announced a new entry-level MacBook Pro, M6 iMac and OLED iPad Mini.
