Three brothers exploited wealth to drug and rape women, then were jailed for 30 years

Sentence follows years of allegations

The brothers were sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in prison. Prosecutors said at least 70 women were assaulted by one or more of them over the past two decades, including at luxury locations in the Hamptons on Long Island and Aspen, Colorado.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Espinosa urged the judge to impose life sentences, citing what she described as the brothers’ cruelty and repeated assaults. Alon Alexander’s lawyer, Howard Srebnick, called a life term a “death in prison sentence.” The trio were arrested in 2024 and have remained in custody without bail.

Women describe lasting harm

Several accusers spoke in court, while a prosecutor read another woman’s statement. One woman, using a pseudonym, told the court that a single night had changed her life.

A woman who said Tal Alexander raped her in August 2014 described carrying grief for the person she might have become. Another said a Hamptons mansion that had appeared beautiful became a place of horror to her.

Brothers deny the accusations

Oren Alexander spoke first, saying he did not dismiss what the women had said. He denied that he and his brothers had drugged or raped anyone, trafficked anyone for sex, or conspired to harm anyone.

Alon Alexander said he had changed and noted that no woman had accused him of wrongdoing during the eight years he had been committed to his wife. He described his life as centered on work, home, children, parents and community.

Real estate and security careers

Oren and Tal Alexander were known as real estate’s “A Team” for high-end sales and celebrity clients. After setting sales records at Douglas Elliman, they launched their own firm.

Alon Alexander ran the family’s private security company. Prosecutors said the brothers used their wealth and access to luxury real estate to commit the assaults.
