Sony’s transparent PS5 controllers and covers are launching next year in three colors

A see-through PS5 collection
Sony announced the Prism Collection as a new line of PlayStation 5 accessories. It includes DualSense wireless controllers and matching console covers with a transparent appearance that exposes some internal components.
Sony said the design draws on the see-through style popular in the late 1990s, updated for a modern look. The company said the collection reflects its design teams’ interest in showing players more of the craftsmanship behind the devices.
Colors, dates and prices
The collection will be offered in flare orange, emerald green and graphite gray. Preorders open November 10th through PlayStation’s online store and participating retailers. Availability begins February 4th, 2027. DualSense controllers are priced at $84.99, while the console covers cost $74.99.
A broader transparent trend
Sony’s announcement follows Microsoft’s earlier reveal of a 25th-anniversary Xbox Series X, designed with inspiration from the original Xbox and finished in translucent green alongside some matching accessories. The two announcements bring transparent styling to accessories and consoles from both companies.
