Dungeons and Dragons: World of Warcraft Products Officially Delayed Ahead of Release

Store shipments may arrive late

Wizards of the Coast said an unforeseen North American shipping delay could affect some physical pre-orders tied to the World of Warcraft expansion. Some local hobby and game stores may receive products after Early Access begins on November 3.

The company said the impact will vary by location, and some items could arrive only a few days late. It is working with distribution partners to get products to stores as quickly as possible.

Miniatures face the biggest delay

The delay may affect the Gameplay Expansion books and Murloc Minis, though many stores are expected to receive those items on time. The company identified the Official Miniatures—Horde Pack and Alliance Pack—as the products most affected, with arrival expected on or around November 17.

Other items listed as potentially affected include the alternate-art Gameplay Expansion, the Collector’s Edition Gameplay Expansion, and the Icecrown Citadel Adventure Map Pack. The company did not provide a specific arrival date for every item.

Digital access remains on schedule

The expansion’s official release date is November 17, while its Early Access period starts November 3. Players who bought the digital books through D&D Beyond with a Master Tier subscription are expected to access the content normally on November 3. The physical shipment issue is the second major release in a row to face delays, following a similar problem with the Arcana Unleashed expansion in September.

More releases are planned

World of Warcraft is described as the final major core Dungeons & Dragons release for 2026. Wizards of the Coast has also confirmed other partnered products will come out from November through year’s end. For 2027, the company has said fans can expect the return of the Dark Sun and Greyhawk settings, along with an official Star Wars crossover.
