Deadspin: Thunder Star Jalen Williams Injures Leg in Clippers Win

Williams stretchered off court

With 1:14 left in the fourth quarter, Williams went up for a dunk and landed hard on his left leg. After video review, officials ruled that Kris Dunn had committed a flagrant 1 foul.

Williams began trying to rise, but teammate Chet Holmgren signaled for him to stay down. He was taken off on a stretcher and gave the crowd a thumbs-up as fans chanted “J-Dub,” his nickname.

Gilgeous-Alexander leads win

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points to lead Oklahoma City. He made 13 of 26 shots and seven of eight free throws. After Jalen Williams left, Gilgeous-Alexander made two free throws to extend the Thunder lead to six, then added another at the next opportunity. He scored 16 points in the third quarter, one game after his NBA-record streak of 20-point games ended.

The Clippers led 64-57 midway through the third quarter after Garland made a three-pointer. Oklahoma City's reserves helped turn the game around with a 20-10 run; Alex Caruso contributed five points, two assists and a steal, including a tying three-pointer.

Turnovers shape final margin

Ajay Mitchell scored 18 points off the bench, while Isaiah Hartenstein recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds. Nine points in the Thunder's third-quarter run came after Clippers turnovers.

Oklahoma City scored 38 points off 26 Clippers turnovers and won 108-101. The game was the first of a back-to-back for the Thunder.
