At double murder trial, covert recording of prison meeting between Beau Lamarre-Condon and friend played in court

Recording played in court
The friend returned to the witness stand on Monday as the court heard a recording of a prison conversation with Lamarre-Condon. The friend had made the recording for police during a visit in December last year.
Tense exchange between friends
The friend told Lamarre-Condon that he had put him in a difficult position. He also said he was upset because Lamarre-Condon had called him dumb. Lamarre-Condon replied, “You’re not dumb OK,” then said his friend was not self-aware in the way he was. The friend responded, “Don’t you dare switch up,” and could be heard threatening several times to leave during the call.
Home entry and gun test
Lamarre-Condon said entering Baird’s Paddington home was not break and enter because Baird had arranged for him to have a key cut. He acknowledged it was trespass, but described returning to a former partner’s home to collect belongings as normal.
