Sony’s refurbished PS5 consoles include a second controller for an extra $18

A limited-time console bundle
Sony’s current offer lets shoppers add a refurbished DualSense controller when ordering a refurbished PlayStation 5. The bundle is aimed at people who want a second controller without paying its usual price.
The digital console costs $499, while the disc-based model is priced at $549. A white controller increases the bill by $18; select colors, including sterling silver, add $23 instead.
The controller is discounted by $40 from its usual price. Sony provides a one-year warranty for both the refurbished console and controller.
More storage in the console
Each refurbished PS5 has a 1TB solid-state drive. The digital edition currently sold in stores has 825GB of built-in storage, while the store-bought disc edition also has 1TB.
PS5 owners can expand storage with PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs fitted with heatsinks. Those drives can be costly at the moment.
Interest ahead of GTA VI
The deal arrives as many people are buying a PlayStation 5 ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI’s November 19th launch. The offer provides an alternative to paying full price at other retailers.
Sony’s refurbished consoles are priced $100 below their new counterparts, according to the report. The limited-time bundle also makes it possible to outfit a household for two-player gaming.
