Epstein attorney, accountant face New Mexico AG lawsuit that accuses them of facilitating trafficking

State brings federal case

Torrez’s lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. It names Indyke and Kahn, whom the complaint accuses of knowingly participating in Epstein’s alleged trafficking enterprise.

The filing says the men helped finance and conceal alleged crimes, including abuse of young women and girls at Zorro Ranch in Santa Fe County. Torrez said Epstein did not act alone and that his death would not end efforts to hold others accountable.

Transactions and ranch transfer

According to the complaint, Indyke and Kahn authorized transactions connected to the alleged operation. These included a 2011 transfer of Zorro Ranch’s title to a company controlled by Epstein.

A joint statement from six survivors said Epstein’s operation relied on an appearance of legitimacy and access to carefully structured money. The survivors also raised concerns about Indyke and Kahn’s positions in deciding victim payments while potentially benefiting from what remains afterward.

Other actions and questions

In March, Indyke and Kahn testified to members of Congress that federal investigators had not interviewed them about their late client. Kahn said he continued working for Epstein after learning of his 2008 guilty plea for soliciting a minor, explaining that he wanted to support his family and believed Epstein when he said it would not happen again. The two men are executors of Epstein’s estate and have helped negotiate settlements in survivors’ lawsuits.
