Neagley Outdraws Reacher in U.S. Viewing as Prime Video Officially Confirms Reacher Replaced by Neagley

Neagley leads the rankings

Neagley recorded 661 million minutes watched in the United States during the week of September 28 through October 4, according to Nielsen’s latest streaming rankings. Reacher reached 513 million minutes over the same period.

The spin-off premiered on Prime Video on September 16, after the Reacher Season 4 finale. Its performance puts Neagley ahead of the series that launched the franchise.

A case in Chicago

Maria Sten returns as Frances Neagley, a former protégé of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. In the new series, she works as a private investigator in Chicago.

Neagley begins investigating after learning that a close friend from her past has died in what seems to be a suspicious accident. The series gives viewers a more sustained look at the character beyond her ties to Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson.

Sten on the expanded role

Sten said she was excited for viewers to learn more about Neagley and described the role as a chance to explore the character further. She has played Neagley since Reacher’s first season. The actor also said she felt pressure to continue the legacy while honoring Reacher, the books and the characters created by Lee Child.
